"$400 mistake"
I made a near $400 purchase of multiple items and then received a completely different order Uber somebody else's name. I realized i can't find a phone number anywhere online or in the invoice so I message them. After receiving a return slip and sending back the wrong item, I get no response for weeks until finally somebody send me a message saying they're finally on their way. One my items arrived I realized that the ties are polyester, but when I placed the order they were advertised as silk. Who even does that? I would've still rated 4 stars if they sent the wrong items and sent the correct ones quickly, 3 for taking a while to reply but still getting the items, but what kind of company changing it up like that just makes me so uneasy to ever recommend to anybody else.

"Disappointed experience with Harry Potter Shop"
I have ordered the chocolate frog with the personalised card for a present. Even though I chose how I want the personalised card, the shop zoomed the photo too much and cropped it in that way that the face is not fitting to the card. As a result I have a present that can’t be used. As soon as I received my order, I contacted the Harry Potter shop but still there is no feedback. Nobody contacted me since then.

I am highly disappointed because I lost a lot of time and do not feel any support and attention to help from the shop.

"I've used the store a few times and…"
I've used the store a few times and deliveries are slow, however this time my order (a Hogwarts acceptance letter) was sent promptly but incomplete. I contacted the website and was advised a replacement would be sent straight away. This was weeks ago and despite chasing and being told time over that a new one will be sent, nothing. Very disappointing as there are "knock off" versions on Etsy that I could have used but thought the official store would be more reliable

Never sent the gifts we purchased. You'll never find a phone number to reach someone. Don't waste your time with them. Save your efforts and buy elsewhere.

"Ordered a package and was delivered to…"
Ordered a package and was delivered to a stranger (it never arrived to my door and it was marked as delivered). They don't take responsibility and even ignore any attempt to contact them. Really shady company.

"Good items, absurdly overpackaged."
The items arrived very quickly once I was able to make the order, they seem good quality and the price is okay once you account for the Harry Potter premium, so overall I'm pleased.
Two irritants though:
Firstly, at the time of writing there is some sort of glitch on the website so it won't add items to the basket. I've experienced this on three different machines using different browsers in different locations, and it's been going on for at least a week. The only way I could make it work was with my phone.
The second gripe is that this was one of the worst cases of overpackaging I have ever seen. I ordered two ties, they arrived in an A3 size hardback envelope, which was at least twice the size it needed to be, but absurdly was inside another even larger envelope. Wasteful, costly, and inconvenient for an order that should have fitted through a letterbox.

"Great experience"
I ordered a Slytherin cape and wand, but was really concerned that it may not arrive on time for my Halloween party on 10/22/2022, especially after reading all these negative reviews. I messaged customer support and they emailed me back within an hour and reassured me it would be on time. I ordered Express shipping and it arrived today. Very happy with my purchase. I want to give a shout out to Sean, the customer support agent who emailed me back so quickly.

"50% success rate"
I purchased a robe for me without issue, and it arrived quickly. I decided to purchase one for my mom a week or so later - purchased on a Friday evening. Monday, I get an email that says "We can confirm that your order [order#] has been canceled." Of course, I am dumbfounded as to why it was canceled, and there is no number to call to inquire. I used the form that says they will respond in 3 days time. With no response, and wanting to ensure I got the robe in plenty of time to be able to get it fitted properly somewhere, I bought another one on Thursday. I was hoping to understand why this happened, but now I am more concerned about getting the robe in time.

UPDATE: I found through the Shop App I could reach out to the company via messenger. I did so Thursday and received a response back today (Friday) that the customer service team would reach out to me same day. It seems the product was out of stock and that is why the order was cancelled. Luckily, a new shipment arrived so my second attempt at the order will go through.

"Company has no way to contact or cancel orders"
I ordered a set of personalized robes and as soon as I completed my order realized I had ordered an adult M instead of a child's M. I searched for contact information to correct the problem. No phone number exists. No way to cancel the order online exists so that I could correct my mistake. The only contact is an online form, so I filled it out. According to the email time stamps, it was literally 4 minutes after I ordered that I contacted them to make the correction. They didn't respond for a few days and then only said "no exchanges or returns for personalized items". I told them it wasn't an exchange or a return, as the item should not have been personalized yet in the 4 minutes it took me to communicate my error. I got no response to that and now the giant robe is set to show up today. My kid won't grow into this for 10 years. I corrected my mistake in a timely manner. I'm going to refuse delivery and run my credit card for a charge back, as it is not my problem that they have no phone number, no cancel order option, and no way to contact them but a form that they don't check for days at a time, but what a hassle.

Update: To my surprise, the company has issued a full refund and told me to keep the too-large robes. Based on the very short "no exchanges" email from before and prior reviews, I did not expect that to happen. I am still upset at the very low functionality of the website being no way to cancel or change an order without sending an email that they may or may not read in a timely-enough manner, but the response here for the full refund plus robes (albeit that won't fit for a decade) was above and beyond and I feel a bit poop for posting a 1-star review before.

"Do not recommend"
Exorbitantly priced. Lost my shipment the first time. Replacement shipment required ridiculous paperwork including proof of address for a 6 year old. Customer service did nothing to help the situation and in most cases, did not even respond to emails. Do not recommend!

"No Issues, Other Complaints Are Contextual!"
I ordered my Vintage Hufflepuff Scarf, it got dispatched, it arrived. DONE!

All of the negative reviews here were all before, on or just after CHRISTMAS where every single delivery service were experiencing delays because it was CHRISTMAS during A PANDEMIC!!! Likely Harry Potter Shop were experiencing staff shortages. These reviews are just a lot of rage and lack of understanding of what's actually happening.

Maybe I got lucky, or maybe this shop works just fine and people need to realise things can't always go smoothly!

"Great service shipping to Australia"
I’ve ordered twice from them. Once for jumpers and other merchandise and once for various sweets and chocolates. Both orders arrived within 2 weeks to Australia. Never any damage and packaging in great condition.
